The Brandiswaal was built by Count Heinrich von Brandis in 1835.<\/p>

Along this irrigation system lies a very pleasant trail that starts in Lana di Sopra and passes by a waterfall.<\/p>

From Lana di Sotto it is possible to return to Lana di Sopra by bus.<\/p>

From Tel, along the road between Merano and Val Venosta, a walk begins following the course of the irrigation channel above Lagundo.<\/p>

The route is mostly flat, with a short uphill and downhill section, until reaching Quarazze.
From here you can access the path to San Pietro and the Tappeiner Promenade, before returning along the same route.<\/p>

Ruins of Castel Maultasch<\/h3>

From Terlano you start on foot from the station and walk through the village centre.<\/p>

The path leads to Castel Neuhaus, also known as Rovina Maultasch or Castel Casanova, along the vineyards tied to the local wine tradition. After a stretch through the woods, you reach the ruins of the ancient castle, which offers a wide and spectacular view over the Adige Valley, with Bolzano and Merano visible in the distance.<\/p>

From Ciardes you take an ancient cobbled road that leads to the irrigation channel, following it eastward through small woods and clearings until reaching some farmsteads.<\/p>

After a short climb you reach Castel Juval, along a particularly scenic stretch. For the return, you descend back towards the valley, encountering a second irrigation channel and passing by farmsteads and hotels, before returning to the starting village. <\/p>

From the centre of Verano you set off on foot, following a trail through mountain pastures next to the Weberhof farmstead, leading all the way to the Knottnkino.<\/p>

Here, a series of steel and wooden seats invites you to stop and admire the wide panoramic view.<\/p>

It is also possible to follow a shorter variant that, from the same car park, leads directly to the ‘natural cinema’.<\/p>

Plima Gorge – Val Martello<\/h3>

From the car park at the end of Val Martello, a route begins that enters the deep and evocative gorge carved by the Plima stream into the dark rock.<\/p>

Along the way, the water rushes between tight bends and steep walls, accompanied by four corten steel installations designed to bring visitors closer to the natural spectacle. You encounter the structure called Kelle, which extends into the gorge, followed by a panoramic point with views of the valley and the abandoned Hotel Paradiso. A little further on you reach a pulpit suspended over the void, and finally a bridge crossing the gorge, accessible year-round. <\/p>

From the car park near the church of Foiana, a short stretch leads to the start of the Chestnut Trail.<\/p>

Along its 2 kilometres, families and visitors can discover the world of the chestnut tree through numerous information stations.<\/p>

The boards display information and curiosities about the fruit, the wood, the varieties and the conditions for healthy growth, bringing visitors closer to the history and importance of these trees in the local natural landscape.<\/p>
